Poster Design

As Rob earlier blogged, we did poster designs last week. I created one for the you-brief, as I was slightly getting bored of Death Becomes her...always love the film, best film ever. However, the imagery was becoming tedious.

So, here are two versions of the poster... I have quizzed the Smiles and Sarah Spain, who both think that the dark background and white doodles are better. Does everyone else agree? I am still undecided...much appreciate your comments.

Have you tried one with the white setting having coloured the iPod in black to see what the contrast looks like?

I like the white one myself, reason being you can tilt your head along the street view and imagine the circle outline of the world doubling up as a sun or moon which gives it more depth...but then volcano-y thing at the bottom doesn't seem to fit in. That's just my personal opinion of it...not necessarily a good one.

...another thing I liked about the white one, though this is a minor thing really, is the headphones....if they were tilted slightly at the ends they would look like street lamps on the vertical street view. Again, just giving it that little extra touch to add to the scene. :)

I like them both though, good job Kitty.

Thanks for the comments Rob - you are right, these images could definitely double up as others! Thanks for taking the time to really look at it.

I am still unsure of which one I prefer - I will print them off and then look at them for ages like Alex suggests.

The volcano - well yes it is a bit random, but thats what I was going for. I wanted the whole imagery of my world to seem strange, a bit qwirky.

Again, thanks for the comments.
